It has been a very difficult time. I have some reflective thoughts about our life and the place we live now. There have been low emotions for a while. It is especially painful to think about those people who passed away due to the corona virus outbreak. Last week, a group of friends gathered online and had a discussion about death.
I started to realize death is part of life. It is the truth. And sadness is part of life too. I shall not take it as a burden or ignore it. We may not be able to avoid difficult situations but we can always adopt the right attitude. We could choose to respond to any challenging situations a better way.
My friend Zhao Qing and I have been posting messages about Traditional Chinese Medicine in WeChat in the past few weeks regularly. We want to share our love and passion for Traditional Chinese Medicine, self-healing capacity, knowledge, experience and small tips! We hope you find it helpful in some way especially during the tough times.
Today we will begin with overall introduction about the meridians in our body.
Cultivation on the Meridians
① The human body has 12 meridians and there are 12 months in a year.
② The human body has 24 vertebrae in the back and there are 24 solar terms in a year according to Chinese Calendar.
③ Meridians: Meridians are energy paths in the body in which Qi and Blood flow through; Decide about life and death; Illnesses occur in the human body because the activities of the meridians get problems; illnesses get healed because of the functioning of the meridians.
④ The Human body has eight extra meridians (pre birth)
12 meridians (after birth)
Lung, Large intestine, Stomach, Spleen, Heart, Small intestine, Bladder, Kidney, Pericardium, Triple Energizer, Gallbladder, Liver.
All illnesses result from Qi, all illnesses originate from Blood! Qi and Blood circulate in the meridians.
If Qi and Blood are flowing freely and smoothly in the meridians, all illnesses shall not come!
